The Preppi Grade School Program offers unique Weekly Specials geared to stimulate the interest of the child in the various academic areas by relating it to the real world, peak one’s curiosity on significant topics to entice further exploration  and also exercise the brain for practical application of knowledge learned. The presentation is short and snappy via video and computer presentations that present new or related topics.

The fun and playful Weekly Specials stretch the Preppi Curriculum into a broader spectrum so that the child will learn more than what is expected. This special offerings unique to the Preppi Curriculum allows the child to assess and realize her/his personal grasp of concepts learned and motivates her/him to perfect certain skills. This is better than the usual dreary traditional pop-quizzes. Weekly Specials are sure-fire esteem and motivation boosters. Even parents enjoy learning the trivia shared by their child.

A variety of Weekly Specials are offered in different days:

KKK – Kids’ Korek Korner: Challenges the child as s/he poses as the language sleuth to investigate the grammar and language arts (capitalization, punctuation and spelling) construction of the tricky statement slated for the day. A higher challenge is when the child constructs her/his own statements with intentional mistakes for other children to inspect and correct.

SIR! – Say it Right: This is cool way to learn how to pronounce every day, high -falutin’ and tongue-twisting words. Even teachers join in this amusing articulation activity.

Child Chaplain – The children are assigned to be the inspirational speaker for the week. The teacher presents the topic and guide for a devotional talk that the child will share to the class. The child imparts personal insights spruced with biblical text with a dash of  historical, scientific or other academic real-world snippets of true stories  and application. This practical exercise hones the child’s oral communications, power of reflection and persuasion.

POW! – People of the World: This is the entertaining yet efficient way to learn biographies of the famous and infamous figures in the world or in the society the child lives in. Inspiring, captivating and thought-provoking historical lessons packed with a punch.

Laugh Time – Laughter is part of the language of life and every person needs to laugh many times a day. This is the laugh-out loud session for children and Preppi team who enjoy a brief and merry relief listening and watching the young Joker for the day present a joke. Catch a comical moment with the Preppi Family every Laugh Time.

FON – Flash of News: is presented weekly by a FONcaster. All the children contribute current events they have read for the week and the assigned FONcaster presents the news bits based on her/his personal and cool style. A practical application of academic subjects to improve the child’s communication and comprehension skills not to mention knowledge and concern for current events.

TRUTH THERAPY – A refreshing way to learn about the facts of life that present and relate the academic, moral and spiritual concepts in a thought-provoking session of viewing, discussing and hands-on experiments. This is one of the secrets to an effective behavioral modification, leadership training and confidence-building skill development. A life tranforming weekly experience for the children and the staff.

WOW! – Words of Wisdom: from prominent and highly respected individuals stir the young mind and heart. Children bring their WOW! moments to their love ones when they go home.

MOD – The Mystery of the Day: peaks the interest of the curious child. A riddle,  a puzzle, a question or a jumble of words mystifies the young trouble shooter who takes up the challenge to solve life’s daily mystery utilizing his personal memory bank, knowledge acquired, natural wit, experiences and tools on hand like books and references. This is an interesting brain exercise that boosts the IQ and EQ as the child commits to solve and discover answers to life, academic or anything-under-the-sun question.

MMM – A Magical Musical Moment: has healing effects to the soul. Mmm is also an expression of profound delight. This is exactly how a child feels when exposed to wholesome music. This is a subtle Lesson on Music Appreciation and Therapy, the grade school version of a collegiate Humanities class. The child is exposed to a fine selection of classical, contemporary and other wholesome tunes as s/he eats lunch. S/he learns prominent and world-class musicians as s/he develops appreciation for the musical compositions of Bach, Beethoven, Mozart and the other famous composers who become part and parcel of lunch conversations as nerves are calmed and soothed during Breaks. Mmm effectively prepares the students for the afternoon class and for a life-long musical lifestyle.
